- The section of the agreement dealing with
excerpts from theatre productions recorded for News, Magazine, Feature and
Documentary programmes allows for the excerpt to be recorded within a call
time of three hours, including any travel time and rehearsal.
The agreement allows for
additional hours to be worked, subject to additional payments, on the day
or days booked, and for additional days to be added to the engagement if necessary.
It also specifies terms on which performers may be retained during parts of
the production schedule for which they are not required.
There
are reduced minimum fees for artists working on serials where more than one
episode is rehearsed and recorded within seven days.
For
variety acts, though not for other categories of performer, the agreement
provides for reduced fees for programmes transmitted in one region only.
For Walk-ons
and Supporting Artists, the agreement provides for additional payments for
work in particular circumstances (eg particularly strenuous work, nudity,
simulated sex), and for particular skills (eg driving, horse-riding, fencing).
The agreement provides for performers travel and subsistence.
