or recording: either for 10 hours work over 12 on a
single day, or, where the performance takes place before 1.00 pm, to start
at 9.00 am that day, and to include up to 4 hours aggregate work the previous
day. It allows for additional days for the same programme, of 6 hours over
8. It also provides for overtime.
The fee payable for an engagement of this kind covers broadcast
or recording and rehearsal during the hours defined by the engagement, and
rehearsal and performance may alternate. It also covers voluntary rehearsal
before the event.
The
agreement allows for reduced fees for programmes transmitted in one region
only.
The agreement also allows payment of lower fees (network
or regional) for a shorter day of 5 hours over 6, for Education, Religious,
Documentary, Instructional, Critical and Magazine programmes, and for out-of-vision
recording for Drama programmes (defined as "music which the drama requires
to be performed as opposed to incidental background music"). In the case
of Documentary and Religious programmes, the transmitted items may not exceed
25% of the transmitted time of the whole programme.
