the People : Outline Guide (Insurance) 2
With that qualification, customary production insurances
include the following headings. Not all of them, of course, are "people"
insurances, but it may be more convenient for you to see them all in one part
of these pages. Here they are:
Cast: death or injury to named key people involved
in your production: consequent extra expense or cost of abandonment.
Negative/videotape/faulty stock: loss of or damage
to film or videotape stock, or a fault in the stock itself: consequent
extra expense or cost of abandonment.
Extra expense: loss of or damage to property or
facilities used for the production: consequent extra expense or cost of
abandonment.
Technical
equipment: loss of or damage to technical equipment: up to the amount insured.
Props, sets and wardrobe: loss of or damage to props,
sets or wardrobe: up to the amount insured.
Works of art, jewellery, watches and furs: loss of
or damage to items of this kind used in the production and listed when the
policy is taken out: up to the amount insured.
Production office contents, cash and cheques: loss
of or damage to items of this kind while either in the production office or
(cash and cheques) in your personal custody or that of an authorised member
of your team: up to the amount insured.
