4. For live or deferred broadcasts of non-BBC promoted public performances and for live or deferred broadcasts of BBC promoted public performances. Payment of the specified fee entitles the BBC to broadcast or record up to 3 hours of music, except in the case of deferred broadcasts of non-BBC promoted public performances, where only one hour may be recorded. There is provision for extension of these sessions for additional rehearsal or for additional performance, in exchange for additional payments.

5. For OB recordings of opera, ballet and similar productions cast, rehearsed and produced by organisations other than

the BBC, either without an audience or with an invited audience. Musicians are engaged for recordings of this kind under the Basic 5-Hour Session terms, and engaged for either one or two such sessions, with additional payments for any extension of them to accommodate the length of the performance. If a recording of this kind requires both rehearsal and performance during the same session, the provisions for Discontinuous Recording Sessions and Selective Pre-Recording Sessions may be applied.
