Jim says: "It was a great delight
to learn that Dorset is to become part of
the newly designated world heritage site,
the Jurassic coast. This status will be
a major boost to the local tourist industry
and to preserving the environment and natural
heritage.
I have been working closely with other Dorset
MPs, Local Councils and the Regional Development
Agency to see where we can make the most
of this new world heritage status. In particular
I am keen to see improved transport, accommodation
and disabled access and have asked that
Government help put together a realistic
plan as soon as possible."
