The Client and The Master Budget

Every company has its own way of negotiating and operating budgets and the amount of information supplied to a client varies from company to company. Some companies and freelancers have two budgets; the client budget and the master budget. The client budget is the budget that the client sees and contains detailed information about where the money is being spent. A master budget contains information such as mark ups and profit margin, which you may not wish to pass on to the client.
