Production Process

The production process will vary depending on the type of media you are working with. Most projects go through a clarification stage at which point you will better understand the project requirements in terms of development time, media formats, content requirements, team and budgetary considerations.

The production techniques employed in practical terms differ considerably between mediums, so to produce a television programme you will need to follow a different route to that of producing a website, but there are a number of principles which can be applied to most projects.

The practical production process will be heavily dependent upon budget, timescale and the client. It may not always be possible to employ the same practical design methods and techniques on a project so the production process has to be flexible.

The most important aspect of the production process is that the objective is met within the defined boundaries. How you get to that final solution whilst maintaining quality must be a matter of informed judgement, in depth understanding of production processes, good skill levels and efficient planning.
