Reputation and Track Record

Reputation counts for a lot when working in the media sector. If you have a good reputation, people will want to work with you. If you have a bad reputation you will find it almost impossible to get work.

Is reputation important?

Building your reputation is a careful process. Make yourself indispensable on projects by being reliable, cheerful, hard working and a good team member. Remember, personality counts for a lot and nobody wants to work with someone who is inflexible and grumbles throughout a project.

As well as personality, what you can do does matter and you are only as good as your last job. The best way to build your reputation is to get people to see your work, so publicise it as much as possible and if it is being broadcast on television, make sure people know about it on your CV and company showreel.
