Working as a Freelance

Time Management

Being a freelancer carries many advantages such as high potential earnings, excitement and unpredictability, using your skills and talents in the areas that you most enjoy and you can make a lot of contacts, but it can be a tough way of life with unpaid holidays and no security. It may require investing in long hours and will undoubtedly affect your life in general.

Multi-skilling is a valuable commodity and if you are able to turn your hand to other skills you will find you are able to take on a range of projects rather than a small number that use your key skill.

Make sure that you manage your time efficiently and if you find yourself in a period with very little work, use that time to find new sources of business or to develop your creative skills and knowledge.
