What is imovie                                           Film-editing software so intuitive that it doesn't have a manual or need one - Chris Taylor, TIME.com. iMovie2 is a non linear video editing package from Apple shipped with their entire range of computers. Features include : Digital video quaility, titling, effects, transitions, and motion control.

Background                                                                                              Apple has revolutionised the video world since it originally developed Firewire technology, opening up digital video to the consumer and the broadcast market. They have continued to break new ground since releasing iMovie and Final Cut Pro, challenging the existing pricing and availability of video editing. With the invention of Firewire it is now possible to shoot something on location, capture, and edit on the way back to the office on a laptop.

Notes
The imovie editing suite P123, is located on the first floor of Poole house. It is open access 24 hours a day, and can be booked in advance from the Production Office, P147.
