What is Media100?
Media100 is an example of a nonlinear system that can be used for either off-line or on-line editing.  There are nine off-line suites that make use of Orb storage, and three on-line suites using Fibre Channel Storage.  A cut can be easily produced in the off-line suites, complete with titles, graphics, motion control and transitions, and then the program is autoconformed in on-line Media100, with broadcast picture quality.

Bournemouth University is proud to be a Premier Education Partner with Media100, with twelve edit suites in the school.  Working in conjunction with compositing software AFTEREFFECTS, on-line Media100 offers you a vast array of edit and effects features, giving your programs a polished, broadcast-quality look and feel.

Notes
The Media100 edit suites are available for booking from the Production Office (P147) and must be booked and signed for 24 hours prior to use.
