My shape tween is not working.
Try to break apart both objects first. Go to Modify in the Menu bar. Select break apart. They maybe complicated you might have to repeat this step a couple of times. Look at the objects inspector to make sure they are both in the same place in the Flash movie. (In the Menu bar go to Window>Inspectors>object. The x and y axis shows you where the object is)

Flash is running out of memory and cannot complete an action.
Try to vectorize any bitmaps you really need to use. Get rid of any heavy files that you don't need, from the library. Don't use big bits of audio. It might be worth putting long pieces of background music into the HTML document instead of in the Flash movie. Above all try to think in small files sizes. Make small Flash movies and link them in your HTML page. This also makes it easier for a user to navigate if they don't want to wait for a long movie to load.

My actions are not working when I test my movie.
Are buttons and frame actions enabled? Go to Control and select these options. You will not be able to see actions which relate to a browser. To test this, drag your swf file to IE. If you have a lot of actions in one movie it is a good idea to put them all on a separate layer, also label instances and frames that the actions relate to.

I can't get my mask to work.
The mask has to be a fill shape. Make sure that it is in a layer above the object that needs to be masked. The masked layer will look indented, under the mask layer. Is the mask moving? Convert the fill shape to a symbol or group it for a motion tween to work. Is the mask shape a movie clip that does not move? Try defining the instance as a graphic, the different time lines confuse Flash.

I can't see my QuickTime when I test my movie.
Flash does not import QuickTime; it sets a path for the file. Therefore you will not see the QuickTime until it is published. It might be a good idea to put your QuickTime into the site root folder of the HTML document, where your flash movie is going to go. DD click on the QuickTime in your library, it will bring up a window which will allow you to set a path.
